Oakland: Body found after fire along Interstate 980

OAKLAND — Investigations were underway early Tuesday morning after a body was found near the scene of a fire on the side of westbound Interstate 980 in Oakland, according to authorities.A spokesperson with the California Highway Patrol said officers were called to a fire near the 17th Street off-ramp on I-980 at around 1:30 a.m. The fire was quickly extinguished with the help of the Oakland Fire Department.A body was located in the surrounding area, according to the CHP. We have recently had a spate of them here and there have been some serious injuries involved.If it is a cultural event that people want to see and be a part of, and a city mayor sees it as that, as in Richmond, maybe there’s a way to find a place large enough for sideshows to take place within that city. If it’s leased land, make the payment very affordable. They can organize their own shows. Maybe there could be bleachers.
